Arise Virtual Solutions Equipment

It is very important to have the right equipment if you are going to serve Arise clients. Each client can have specific requirements such as dual monitors. However, Arise does have general guidelines for computers, and equipment that will work for the clients. We have provided some equipment that can be purchased and sent directly to you.

In addition to equipment, you will be required to have a hard-wired internet connection (no wireless) with at least 10 mbps download and at least 3 mbps upload. The maximum latency threshold for the internet connection should be no more than 120 milliseconds (ms).  

Arise prohibits the connectivity to their Arise Platform through any unauthorized Proxy Services or unauthorized VPN Services. Arise does not allow satellite, microwave, and cellular hotspot Internet Services.  

Arise is a great opportunity for those that would like work freedom as you will be able to select your schedule. It does take an initial cost for equipment, if you do not already have it. We will provide the most used equipment that Arise CSPs and Arise have provided to us.  

Computers and Laptops

If you choose a laptop, Arise requires that laptops must have an Ethernet port to connect to their VPN.
We have provided a list of desktop computers and laptops that meet the Arise requirements. Additionally you should meet any requirements for the client that you choose to service. 

Arise does allow laptops to service. It is recommended to have a laptop with a bigger display. If you would like, a monitor or the dual monitor setup can be connected to the laptop for additional display space. We have the Arise specifications and a recommended dual monitor setup in a later section of this page.


Arise Computer Requirements


A computer with a separate monitor is recommended. All-in-One computers and Dual boot computers are not compatible with Arise.  

The Computer must also have at least the following specs:  

CPU Speed: Dual-core 2.8 GHz or better or

Intel i class or AMD Phenom X2 class or better

Atom, Celeron, Pentium and Opteron processors are not permitted

Hard Drive Space: 60 GB or more of total space with at least 20 GB of available space
Memory: 4 GB of RAM minimum and is recommended to have

8 GB of RAM or better for future expansion.

Operating System: Windows 10 as Windows 8/8.1 not supported by some clients

The following laptops and desktop computers meet or exceed requirements provided by Arise for their Arise system.

The Acer Aspire 5 A515 exceeds the requirments with the better hexa-core processor, 8GB Ram and a full HD display. It has the ethernet port for the wired connection that Arise requires.  

We have been advised by Arise agents that they use the Acer Aspire TC-895-UA91 Desktop to service with ease. It exceeds the current Arise requirments and has a 4 core processor, 8GB ram, and the ethernet port for connecting to Arise.

Arise Monitor Recommendations


You should have a monitor with 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) screen resolution with 1920 x 1080 (Full HD or 1080p).

Dual Monitors.

There are Arise clients that require a dual monitor setup. Even if they do not require it, most Arise CSPs find it beneficial to have dual monitors as it will assist with being able to work with multiple windows more effectively and efficiently. HP have a great dual monitor setup that comes with 2 21.5 inch monitors plus the brackets to set them up with your desk. Additionally it is the best price we could find for this quality.

Accessories for servicing Arise Clients


You will be required to have a phone headset to certify if you choose a client that takes phone calls. We have provided the recommended headsets that most Arise CSPs use to service phone clients.  

The AGPtek headset has a built in keypad so there is no need for another phone to connect this to so that you can dial out. It will assist you to be heard as it has a noise canceling microphone for increasing voice clarity. Arise CSPs that recommended this headset, said they have all day comfort with the soft ear pad. It is currently a great price for a quality phone headset.

The Plantronics S12 Corded Telephone Headset System is also recommended by Arise Agents. This one does require a phone to connect with to dial out to the Arise system. It has a noise canceling microphone, and is also comfortable to wear while servicing.

USB Headsets for computer

In addition to the phone headset, you will be required to have a USB headset that connects to you computer to communicate with the instructor and class in the online learning environment.  

The Plantronics Blackwire USB headset provides high quality audio so that you will be able to hear and understand the client instructor clearly. It has been reported to be very comfortable to wear during the course. And the microphone is easily adjusted.  

The Logitech USB headset has a double ear stereo headset that blocks out noise in the background so that you can hear better. It is also reported as being comfortable to wear.

Telephone Service

Arise requires hard-wired land line phone service for servicing the Arise clients. The service should be connected directly from the wall to your telephone. You are not permitted to have call features such as voicemail, fax, or other features on the line.  

You can have unlimited long distance, if necessary.  

It is best to read the client announcements at the Arise Portal as clients vary with their phone service requirement. However, most clients are compatible with the following types of services:  

POTS (plain old telephone service)
Cable telephony
Digital service
VoIP through a physical hard phone that has a tangible device to connect with.

Softphones which are applications that are installed on your computer and cell phone service is not allowed by Arise.
